V2923CN Series External CPU for V2040 Matrix Switcher

The V2923CN is an external CPU that controls Infinova’s V2040N large-scale networking matrix switchers. The V2923CN controls all functions of the switcher, including video routing, PTZ operation, programming, and storage. For independent switchers, the V2923CN can operate as a single CPU. For added security, a second CPU may be connected through Infinova’s V2924HS “hot switch.” In this dual CPU system, the V2923CN units are constantly operating in tandem with one unit designated as the primary and the second as the backup. Both CPU’s are updated with any configuration changes. In the event of a failure by the primary CPU, the “hot switch” will automatically transfer system operation to the fully updated backup. V2923CN units (and V2040N switchers) are able to be configured into a network with up to a 64 nodes. In this configuration, using trunk lines for the video outputs, a single V2923CN can call any camera input from any of the networked switchers through TCP/IP protocols. Thus, an operator may view and control any camera in the system, from any PC with an internet browser, or V2210 video management software.
